Loving Mondays

Welcome to the second week of the new year! I don't know about you, but I find that this week is extremely easy to fall back into the old ways. The excitement of making resolutions are over and reality sets it, # you can't eat that chocolate croissant.

Today I wanted to share a few tips about how to start working on those new year resolutions!

Tips for Starting Your New Years Resolutes:

1. No better way to say it than how Nike said it, "Just Do It". I don't know about you, but following through on resolutions are hard. It's hard to wake up early, it's hard to to eat a chocolate croissant, it's hard to change your old ways. The first step to change is by just doing what you don't want to do.

2. Give yourself time. God didn't make the world in day. Habits take 20 days to create them, think about undoing them and building new ones? Try and stay as consistent as you can and give yourself some time.

3. Accountability. Sometimes its hard to share really personal goals with people for different reasons such as fear of judgment or fear of being vulnerable. When you can just be completely honest with someone as say your goals to them and maybe explain it, you'll find that it is a lot easier keep to your goals when you know that people will ask you about them.

4. Pray. Everyone has different view points on prayer but I personally believe that there is power in prayer.

Mark 11:24 "Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours"

5. Remember your purpose. Our purpose on Earth is to live for the glory of God. He created us and has a set plan for our lives up until the day we go and meet Him in heaven. Don't forget the main role you have on this Earth.

I hope these tips help you as you start your journey. Best of luck!
