How Do You Make A Morning Routine?
Step 1: Compile a list of everything you wish to do before leaving the house… and I mean everything. You want to break this down into even the little steps (like dry hair, iron hair, ect.). The more detail you get in this step the easier it will be.
Step 2: Determine how long it will take you to do each thing. How do you do that? Time yourself! On everything? Yes! This step can take a few days to do but it is well worth it! When you are timing yourself it is really important to stay focused. You want to get an actual time frame of how long it will take you.
Step 3: Now that you know what you would like to accomplish and how long it takes for each - this is when you organize in what order you would like to have your routine.
Step 4: Pick a day! This is the hardest part… starting. Select a day that you don't have plans right after you finish your morning routine. Although the point of a morning routine is to allow you to accomplish goals and be more productive, you need to give yourself some grace as you begin.
Step 5: Stick to it! Getting a routine down takes time. They say it takes twenty one days to make something a habit.
I hope these steps help you in creating your own morning routine. Being able to pick my own work schedule - I have found that having a morning routine in order makes it easier on me when figuring out my work schedule. When everything has a system, things just seem to fall into place.
