Tiger's Curse

A few chapters into the first book, Tiger's Curse, I decided to do a little background digging on what other people thought of the book. My goal was to not come across any spoilers but to see in what direction this book takes. I have to admit that the first book is hard to get into for the first couple chapters if you are expecting an adventure right away. With that said, the book is well worth getting through the slow chapters.

Tiger's Curse first takes place in the Pacific North West. To be precise, Portland, Oregon and Vancouver, Washington, my home town. I think this is why I could enjoy the first few chapters even though they were slow. The author described in detail my home and it was amazing for me to be able to read about places and to know exactly what it is like to be there.

When you first enter the world that Colleen Houck has created, you meet a young girl name Kelsey. She is an orphan who is currently living with a foster family. As we all must eventually do, Kelsey gets a summer job. Unlike most people, she got a summer job at the circus. {Side Note: before we go any further, I just want to say this in not typical in the PNW. Sorry, we just don't have a circus here.. ever.} As Kelsey works at the circus she becomes more and more interested in this white tiger, which eventually she talks the tiger master into letting her help care for the tiger. Once you get through the first couple chapters you are taken on an adventure along with Kelsey and Ren, the white Tiger when a mysterious rich man called Mr. Kadam show’s up and whisks them away off to India. Being flown to India on a private jet with a Tiger may make you feel like the mysterious man who owns it all may be too good to be true but, what happens when you find out that the man who owns it all is the white tiger and he happens to be a prince? Kelsey is in for a ride of her life and so are you as the reader.

If you still are not sure that this is the right book for you, then see if you fit into the category of people I think this book is for. I think that this is the right read for someone who loves adventure with twists. For someone who enjoys a love story that has it’s own ups and downs along with challenges. For someone who enjoys a journey that accomplishes something but not the complete tasks. This book is for the person who enjoys a book that you never want to put down. If that is you, then this is the right book for you. I hope you enjoy it, as much as I did. If you are interested, you can purchase the book at these these stores. If you are more interested into audio books, you can also find the book here.

If you have read the book, leave a comment below without any giveaways, about what you thought of the book. I would love to know what you thought!
