New Years Goals 2018

I can’t believe I am sitting down to write my new years resolutions again. This year has flown by and if I am being honest, I’m not sure I am happy about it. I feel like I didn’t have enough time to do everything I wanted. If you read my last post, then you’ll know that this year has been all about growing for me. While I have grown a lot in many different ways, I still have so many more goals. Today, I get to share some of those goals with you.

Reflections
▪️Love is about giving
▪️Everything happens in its own time
▪️A tidy home makes for a tidy mind and a happy man
▪️Routines save you so much time
▪️ Be present in the moment, enjoying what you have right now.

Faith
Sometimes I felt like this was the easiest goal to write about and other times I feel like it’s the hardest. But in order for me to be transparent with you, I wanted to share the truth of the matter. I don’t know if my walk with God will ever look how I want it to look. In understanding that it really may never be perfect, I can then let my walk with God be real. This last year I really worked on getting into a routine with a church and my personal Bible study.  This year I want to continue this growth. I also want to add to it. This year I would like to be involved in a bible study or group at my church. Due to school or work, I have never been able to attend either of those. This year having more flexibility in my schedules, I want to make the time.

Family
My family has always been very important to me. As my life changes and more family is incorporated, like a marriage or baby, I find it more and more important to appreciate our current family bonds and to build them stronger. As Kolby and I become one, we find it more and more important to build our family life up together creating new traditions and memories. For the next year, I want to take those precious moments and enjoy them with him and our family. It's the year of the Phelps.
Health
I was the sickest I’ve been in years this year… twice! During those couple months that I was sick, I realized that I need to take better care of myself in multiple ways. I was watching someone's insta stories the other day and she was talking about being in her 20’s. She said something that really resonated with me. It was that she had no excuse not to be in the best shape of her life. I realized that by starting now and not waiting for “when I'm older” or "when I have more time" I can have the healthy lifestyle that I have always wanted. I can do this by making simple life changes to my diet, and the quality of exercise I do.  I recently tried Barre 3 for the first time and absolutely enjoyed it! I have found that I don't like going to the gym but I do enjoy the work out classes.

Self
I’ve changed a lot in some ways over the year. I’ve grown more into the woman I have always wanted to be and more importantly, have figured out the woman I want to be. This year I have certain goals I want to focus on just for me.
I want to read more books.
Give me time to relax and truly unwind.
Journal.
Meditate.
Let myself explore the beauty of life in whatever way I want.

Work
If you read my post about growing, you know that the blog adventure has not always been the easiest one for me. It has actually been something that has taught me a lot about myself, my passions, and how to be bold. This year I want to be more consistent with the content I provide. I started this blog for me. As the blog grows, I want to be able to share with you all the content that can enhance your life.

Looking Back

2017 was a year of growth for me in all aspects of my life. I thought I would share the most popular blog posts of the year. There is something about looking back at all that you have done and created, that makes it exciting for the future. Thank you for all your support with the blog this last year. I can't wait to share with you all that I have planned for 2018.

The two most popular post might just be the most personal. First is the last post that went up about growing. 2017 brought a lot of change in my life and my only hope for 2018 is that it builds upon that growth and I keep growing. There were a lot of life changes but ones that I really am happy about. Of course, a handbag organization post is popular. I feel that it is always important to have the contents of your handbag organized and helpful to your daily needs.

The next two popular post is focused on life development which is something I find most interesting. I have searched for a long time on how to enrich my life and love that sharing. My goal in life is to build an enriching life and to influence others to want to enrich their own lives. I am so excited for the year to come with all the posts that I have planned for you!

The first thing I do when life seems to be stressful is to make sure I have a consistent and functional routine down. It's how I get everything done, have time to clean, and still make time to relax. Without the routines in my life, the house would be messy, my mornings would be rushed, and my nights would chaotic. I can't wait to share all the routines I have with you this year.

Thank you for being apart of my 2017, here's to 2018!

What are your new year's goals? Let me know in the comments below!

I hope you had the best end of 2017.
